STUDY

INTEGRATE

Now the light which shines above this heaven, above all, above everything, in the highest worlds beyond which there are no higher, verily, that is the same as this light which is here within the person.”

— Chandogya Upanishad 3.13.7 (trans. Radhakrishnan)

Join Daniel Simpson and Michela Montalbetti in the southern Swiss Alps for a summer immersion in practice and study.

Drawing on a range of transformative teachings – including those described in Daniel’s book, The Truth of Yoga – we’ll explore how to integrate traditional wisdom with modern priorities.

Together, we’ll inquire into yoga philosophy in practical ways that relate it directly to everyday life. We’ll also consider how yoga evolved, and what makes it authentic when so much keeps changing.

Above all, we’ll identify themes that connect today’s methods with earlier approaches, and embody them in practice that goes beyond postures – including seated meditation and pranayama.

This is a great opportunity to deepen your knowledge with two experienced teachers and a diverse community. Come and get inspired in a beautiful setting and go home recharged!

ABOUT OUR VENUE CASA CORVO

Casa Corvo is a stunning eighteenth-century building that used to be a small convent. Later it became the village mayors house and since 2017, after a careful and respectful renovation, is a boutique retreat and yoga center.

There are two adjacent buildings offering occupancy for 13 guests and an extra building just minutes away offering space for 4-5 more guests. The venue includes a spacious dining room and communal spaces, a professional kitchen, yoga shala, finnish sauna, dreamlike courtyard and lush gardens.

Novaggio is a small village nestled in the gentle pre-alpine hills of southern Switzerland, just across the Italian boarder at 650 meters above sea level. Casa Corvo offers enchanting views of the valley and many possible walks in the woods, by the rivers or in the mountains.

The house offers calm and tranquility and has been nurturing yoga practitioners at all levels since 2017. Michela and her husband Mike, who is a professional chef and group caterer, live on the estate year-round.
